SPOT North West is an independent children's occupational therapy service covering North West England.

Specialist occupational therapy assessment and child centred intervention is available for children and young people from birth to 19 years to support the development of functional, participation and independence skills.

Face to face appointments are available across the North West including Merseyside (Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral boroughs), Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester (including Wigan). Appointments can be offered at home, school or nursery depending on where you and your child feel most comfortable.

Virtual appointments can also be offered for some needs, so if you live outside the North West and are looking for a paediatric occupational therapist please get in touch to see if the service can help.

Education and training are key to empowering parents and enabling educators to meet the needs of children and young people.  Both pre-prepared and bespoke training courses for parents, carers, organisations and education settings can be provided and delivered in a range of formats depending on your needs.

Hi, I’m Anna, Paediatric Occupational Therapist and owner of SPOT North West.

I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.  I began my career in adult services, gaining experience in both neurology and mental health, before specialising in paediatrics.  I have now been working as a paediatric OT for over 12 years, across both the NHS and private practice.

I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential and about empowering parents through family-led, child-centred occupational therapy and training. I work with children from the early years through to school age, supporting the development of sensory, motor and functional skills to help them achieve meaningful, child-centred goals.

I also have extensive experience working with children who have sensory needs and have completed training in Sensory Integration and the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI). In addition, I am a qualified sleep practitioner and am passionate about optimising sleep – both for children and their parents.

I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy, including the Independent Practice and Children, Young People and Families Specialist Sections, and the Health and Care Professions Council.  I also hold an enhanced DBS check.

If you're looking for a paediatric OT for your child and would like to know more about me or the support SPOT North West can provide please get in touch for a no obligation initial discussion.
